Welcome to the first Annual Weird Webby Awards!

This collection of my favorite things this year is by no means complete. It’s a recognition of awesome in our Paranormal and Occult sphere. Plus, Jason Mankey inspired me to do this with his Hornie Awards. Check those winners too! There’s just not enough love going around our community so here’s a big digital hug.

Weird Webby Blog Award

John Beckett. Musings of a Druid, Pagan, and Unitarian Universalist. John is always asking and answering harder questions. You can disagree with him, and he will welcome the discussion. His writing is practical for your life, philosophical for your mind, and challenging you to actually practice.

Weird Webby Book Award

Weave the Liminal: Living Modern Traditional Witchcraft by Laura Tempest Zakroff. This book was so good that Ii now require it for my own students! It reminds me of Lon Milo DuQuette’s style with My Life With The Spirits. This is a real look inside the life and mind of a Witch. Laura doesn’t hide failure or challenge. She opens the door pretty wide. The lessons are spub through the stories of her experience. Brilliant book! #notenoughstars

Weird Webby Tarot Deck Award

The Light Seers Tarot by Chris-Anne. Have you ever been moved so emotionally by art that you’re brought to tears? There are a lot of cards like that in this powerful deck. I can’t imagine what it must have been like to create this deck. I sincerely hope I get to have that conversation on the show with Chris-Anne someday. And Crows. The Swords are Crows! YES! So much yes! Please go grab one of these for yourself, and a few more for friends.

Weird Webby YouTube Channel Award

The Witch of Wonderlust. Olivia – the host of the channel – appears to be new to her journey into Witchcraft. A few years or a bit more kind of new. She’s upfront and honest about what she does, her inspiration, and shares her thoughts as her path grows in a comfortable setting with various teas. She does all of that with an open mind and respect for various expressions of Witchcraft. I dig it. She also does book reviews, box set reviews, and occasionally includes a guest on the show. I would happily recommend her channel to anyone on a magical and Pagan path.

Weird Webby Podcast Award

Nordic Mythology Podcast by Mathias Nordvig and Daniel Farrand. Mathias is a legit Old Norse Scholar with serious academic credentials. It just so happened he was raised Pagan as well. That all gives him a unique look into both history and modern expression of Norse influenced Paganism and Heathenry. Daniel is the man behind Horns of Odin with some great knowledge as well. This show is styled in a way that Daniel does a lot of asking questions while Mathias answers them with rich in depth answers. Want to take a deep dive into Norse Mythology? Here you’re chance!

Weird Webby Series Award

Hellier by Karl Pfeiffer, Greg Newkirk, Dana Newkirk, Connor Randall, and Tyler Strand with various guests. There is so much to say about this cinematic adventure. Karl hits a grand slam as the filmmaker. The story takes twists and turns deeper into mysteries. The crew uses various methods of investigation that go beyond technology and even include Witchcraft. I’m on a couple episodes of season 2 doing hypnosis experiments. Much has been said of this series by many. Go watch now. It’s awesome and it’s free! Available on Amazon Prime and YouTube. Please choose Prime if you have it.

Weird Webby Webber of The Year Award

Aidan Wachter. For actions that restore spiritual dignity, spread magic, and selfless sharing of wisdom through multiple free media outlets, Aidan Wachter receives this honor! Have you bought his book Six Ways? His book is the foundation of learning for my students now. Join the Six Ways Facebook group. Aidan is sharing detailed practice through video. He’s an active part of just about all conversations in the group. Search his name for podcasts. You’ll find him on most of the shows sharing unique insights – often different from previous appearances. It just so happens I love the man like family too, so there’s that disclosure. Aidan is doing good work and sharing his experience with the world.

That’s A Wrap!

Thank you for taking the time to read this list of my personal delights. Please check out the links and search for more from these incredible people.

Did you not see your favorite? It’s all good. I had a hard time deciding on a couple categories. If I made a list of honorable mention (Thorn Mooney is awesome, Benebell Wen too), I would never be able to stop. This awards list is a snapshot of time of the things I reflected on and found at the top of my list for this project. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I hope you enjoyed this one!

Stay Weird, my friends!
